Fresh Snow

We had a snowstorm the other day.  Bre was walking to work and called me to say that the snow was especially scenic outside.  The snow covered up everything.  The sand and dirty snow was all covered with a fresh layer.  I liked the way the icicles looked in the sunshine in the first photo.  It was only afterward that I noticed the reflection of the sky in the pavement.

This is the main road running along the West side of the campus.  I like how it looks when covered in snow.

In this photo of the field you can see how the ditch has been mostly filled in by the drifting snow.

The snow was very light and dry.  If you look carefully you can see the trees have a coating of snow on all their branches.  Later in the day the wind came up and blew the snow off the trees.  The footpath across the fields has been getting smaller and smaller as the snow builds up.  A month ago the path was wide enough for three people to walk side-by-side.  Now it is so narrow that it is hard to walk on for just one person.  If you are passing another person one of you has to walk off the path into the deep snow to either side.

Here is a view of Mt. Teine.  You can see some of the ski runs at the top of the mountain.

That's all for now,

Kyle (and Bre)
